Amazon Business Deals look like another promotion type, but the operational question is different from a consumer coupon. The discount is measured against Business Price, only registered business buyers can see it, and the feature lands inside the Q4 calendar when inventory, margin and reference-price history are already tight.
Amazon’s seller forum notice says the feature became available on August 31, 2026 in ten markets: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Mexico and Australia. PPC Land reported on September 8 that participating sellers can reach more than 11 million registered business organizations globally.
The checklist before you submit a deal
First, confirm that each ASIN has a valid Business Price. Without it, the business-only deal path is not usable. Second, model the discount from that business price, not from the public listing price. Amazon lists minimum reductions of 10% for standard Business Deals and 15% for High Velocity Event deals such as Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Third, check product eligibility before the marketing calendar. The notice mentions a 3.5-star-or-higher product rating, new condition, and pricing and seller performance requirements. Fourth, compare deal duration with the buying motion. A one-hour B2B discount may fit replenishment buying or urgent procurement, but it is a poor match for a purchase that needs internal approval.
The unresolved reference-price risk
The critical unknown is whether a business-only discount affects later consumer promotion eligibility. Seller forum replies asked whether B2B-only prices could influence Prime Big Deal Days, Prime Exclusive Discounts, coupons or future Price Discounts. Amazon had not answered those visible questions in the thread PPC Land reviewed.
That matters because retail and business pricing often share the same catalogue object. If a B2B promotion lowers a reference point that later constrains a consumer event deal, the two calendars are not independent. Marketing should not treat the channel as free incremental demand until finance has checked the downstream pricing effect.
How to use the free visibility window
Amazon says major-event Business Deals may receive email and push distribution at no additional cost until December 31, 2026. That incentive is useful, but it should be modelled as temporary. A seller that builds January forecasts on free event amplification may overstate the economics of the channel.
The practical move is a small, margin-protected test set: ASINs with clean Business Prices, enough rating strength, stable inventory, clear B2B demand and no planned consumer promotion conflict. Measure business-buyer lift separately from blended detail-page conversion, because the point of the feature is audience separation inside the same marketplace.
